Daily Reading: Genesis Chapter 49 thru Exodus Chapter 2 Key Verses: Exodus 2:3-8 I often hear people talk about luck. I hear some being envious of others because they are so lucky. Those people would say that Moses was lucky. Instead of being killed, he went to live in Pharaoh's palace. Luck is a matter of happenstance. Luck has no rhyme or reason behind it. Luck is the roulette wheel of life. You can bet on it but chances are, you will lose way more than you win. What we see here is not luck but we see Moses being chosen by God. Moses' life was a part of God's redemptive plan for His people. There were no coincidences involved in Moses' life. Every situation was divinely purposed by God. Luck is for those who do not acknowledge God as our Father who is in controll of everything. He is so gracious that He allows us to chose to trust in Him or take our chances with luck. I'm betting on the sure thing. God has chosen us to be a part of His redemptive plan for humanity. Your life has turned out the way it has because God has a plan for your life. Although it may not seem like God is busy working with someone else, He is right there with you. He was with Moses all 40 years in the wilderness. We must trust God like Moses' mother did. All she had was her trust in God that her baby would live and God came through. God has chosen you and He will come through! Simply love on Him today for He is worthy. 2008-01-25 12:56:08 GMT

I always thought this biblical story was unique.A mother who cared about her son had faith and let him float down the Nile to safety. I don't know to many parents that would have done something like that. The more and more I read the devotions I'm forced to pay closer attention to the vital points in the stories that I've read numerous of times. Now I'm asking myself questions like what if the basket that little baby Moses was in tip over and he fell in the Nile?

What if Pharoahs daugter didn't see baby Moses? But the mother of Moses seem not to second guess. Faith took over and the story ended the way GOD intended. God please allow the readers of this and myself to have the sincere level of faith that she displayed in this story. In Jesus name Amen. --James A.
