Daily reading: Exodus Chapter 7 thru Chapter 10

Key Verse: Exodus 8:22

As a parent I make a conscious effort to not make distinctions between my children.  If I try to treat them in the same manner and show no partiality towards one over the other.  When it comes to other children I do show partiality towards my children.  I give my children more attention and care than I give other children.  There are things that I would do for my children that I would not do for other children.  I don't think my attitude towards my children is wrong because God acts in the same manner.  He shows partiality towards His children.  God made a distinction between His children and the children of this world.  Have you ever felt kept by God in a way that others do not seem to experience?  You know in your heart that God has granted you miracles that those who are not in Christ search for daily.  Many are fooled by the grace that is extended to all men but blessings and miracles are kept in house.  Aren't you glad you're in the house?  Egypt probably looked back and wish they would have been in the house.  Encourage someone today to "come on in."  God gives much attention and care to His children.

As God made a distinction between His people and Pharaoh's people- so He does with His children today. Our Father has high regards for those that cherish Him; are obedient and make a conscious decision to follow Him. I'm reminded of a song we sing in worship service: "this is the air I breathe; You are my daily bread, and I'm desperate for You." These are just some of the words, but as we sing that song in Spirit and truth we are aware that God is the source of our everything, and we need Him. Therefore; we ought to praise Him and Him alone for all that His word says He is. My assumption would be that Pharaoh and his people lacked true understanding of Gods power, which is why they exercised such rebuttal. In the end the Word of the Lord always stands. Praise God- in Jesus Name, Amen.
