Daily reading: Psalm 47 thru Psalm 50 Key Verse: Psalm 47:4 When I read this verse I am reminded of my son. After going trick or treating in the park, we would allow him to pick some candies to eat. With all of the good tasting candies in the bag, he would pick out one peppermint. I would ask, "is that all you want?" I had to intervene and chose for him. He was passing up so many greater things due to his limited knowledge and experience. I imagine if God opened Heaven and allowed us to choose our inheritance we would pick the first shinny thing we saw. Pearl gates, jewel encrusted doors, and streets of gold would probably overwhelm us but those are only building materials in Heaven. God would ask, "is that all you want?" Our knowledge and our experience is extremely limited compared to God's so He blesses us by choosing our inheritance for us. That is a selfless, good, and loving Father. Show Him how much you love Him through your daily devotion to Him. Give Him the highest praise! 2008-05-06 12:05:41 GMT

Praise God for my inheritance- Hallelujah! God is good, and His Word promises that "who so ever believe in Him- shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Thank You for new life dear Lord.

Today, I understand that many occurrences are only a test of my faith; that works out for the sake of giving God praise, glory and honor. Bless You Lord, and thank You for choosing and loving me first. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen(it is so & it is done). --Shevon Bagot <mailto:sbagot@thewaybiblefellowship.org>

I'm so glad that God chooses my inheritance and not me. His knowledge is of the seen and unseen universe throughout eternity. My knowledge is of what I've comprehended with my five senses in the few places I've lived and visited since 1980. There is obviously no comparison of us and God, yet we sometimes get beside ourselves and try to choose our inheritance when we treat these earthly things as if they're as good as it gets. I pray that we continue to seek the kingdom and allow our faith to grow in God knowing that His plans for us are greater than we can possibly imagine. In Jesus name, Amen.

I am so glad God chooses our inheritance for us. He loved us so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins. Therefore, he has proven that he will give us only the best.

I thank God for being my Father and knowing what's best for me. As a teenager I thought my parents were mean and had no understanding of being a teenager. When I look back, I thank God for parents that taught me. It's the same feeling I had with God, but now I know that He has my best interests at heart and that He loves me.
