Daily Reading: Jeremiah Chapter 49 thru Chapter 52

Key Verses: Jeremiah 51:20-23

The gospel message is a message of God's love for His creation.  God commands us to love one another and allow Christ to live in and through us.  So how does war fit into God's plan for His children?  Many try to make war an Old Testament concept.  The New Testament speaks of war but it is not in against flesh and blood.  It is in the spiritual world and His chosen people are still His war-club.  There is an entire kingdom God wants to use us to bring down.  It's ruler and all of his subjects God will shatter with us.  We must see ourselves as children of love, children of light, children of peace, and children of war!  You never know when God is ready to use you to strike a mighty blow so we are commanded to keep our armor on.  We are commanded to be alert and be ready!  God has chosen you as a weapon of mass destruction against the evil kingdom of darkness.  Babylon is a foreshadowing of what is to become of satan and his kingdom.  All hands on deck and man your stations!  The Lord of host is His name!

I pray that God uses us in whatever method He sees fit to shatter the kingdom of darkness. I pray that we use the gifts He has and will equip us with for this battle, so that we will be witnesses to His glory and strength. In Jesus name, Amen.

Gods battle ax!

Wow! God once again displays His total control of His creation. No matter how prideful, over confident, lost, ignorant His creation get, God is always prepared. He is always ready to discipline.

Never take advantage of Gods grace. We may think that God is crazy in the head when He places on us one percent of what. we deserve. Humanity screams, "mercy, mercy." However in my opinion He never pours the judgement that we deserve.

As we see the list of what God can break into pieces with His battle ax. It's practical things. God will get very specific when the time comes.

God You are all powerful and by the reading and the reflection upon Your Word my fear of You has increased.

Quick to take this display of Your power in consideration next time I get prideful, over confident, and ignorant.

Gods word continuously speaks of obedience. Babylon sinned in Zion; therefore they payed the price. A friend of mine said the other day, "if you don't stand for something- you will fall for anything." This is brought to mind because, I believe its time that all Gods children take a stand for Him. I pray that it doesn't take for Him to bring disaster on this earth before we seek His will, and His ways. He created us with a purpose- I'm sure of. The least we can do is give Him the honor that is due.

Thank You, Father for Your word. In Jesus name- Amen.
