Daily Reading: Exodus chapters 1 thur 4

Key Verses: Exodus 4:10-11

God never calls us to do something without giving us the ability to complete the task.  In this case, Moses was commissioned to go to Pharaoh and ask for the release of His people.  As God was commissioning Moses, Moses could only focus on himself and his inadequacies as he saw it.  He offered exuses such as: What if the people don't believe me?  Who should I say sent me?  I am not a man of eloquent speech.  For every excuse, God had an answer.

As His creation, we are not in a position to tell God what he cannot do with us or through us.  If we take the time to focus on God, the one who is sending us, rather than ourselves, we can  move in His power.  When it comes to obedience to God's instructions, excuses are not an option.  Jesus makes this point when he states that with man some things are impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matt. 19:26).  Our inadequacies are but a testimony in God's hands.  It demonstrates our need for total dependence on Him.

When you surrender all, God can work a miracle through you.
