Daily Reading: Acts chapters 21 thru 24 Key Verses: Acts 22:19-21 According to Chuck Swindoll, "One time-honored and effective method of evangelism is the giving of your personal testimony. The skeptic may deny your doctrine or attack your church, but he cannot honestly ignore the fact that your life has been changed. If you have not discovered the value of telling others how God has rearranged your life, you've missed a vital link in the chain of His blessing." Sometimes we get so caught up in knowing the perfect Scriptures and the "Plan of Salvation" that we miss the greatest evangelistic tool we have. Our lives can be used as a witnessing tool. If others see a change in your life, then they will be able to acknowledge the wonder working power of Jesus in your life. You do not have to go through a step by step plan to bring the person to Christ. You simply live for Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to direct you on how to speak to the person in regards to their salvation. It will be fruitless of you to make an educated statement about salvation if your life does not reflect evidence of change. If you and your coworker engage in gossip or go on drinking binges together, what affect does that have on your witness? 1 Cor. 8:13 If Jesus knocked you off your high horse, then you need to tell somebody. Have you considered your life's sermon? 2006-11-29 16:18:15 GMT

I think the hardest people to evangelize to are those who know you(family and friends). They tend to think that you are either a hypocrite or have lost it momentarily. They are unable to acknowledge real change. Maybe it is because they liked you better when you were on their level. Your changes exaggerate their lack of change. I have found that sometimes you have to disconnect yourself from people who remember you when because they have a tendency to want to bring you down or hinder your walk. I have prayed that the Holy Spirit will open the door of opportunity for me to share my testimony with family and friends. I am patient about this because I know that I have to be ready to give and they have to be ready to receive. If I am still harboring areas that are in need of deliverance, then my flesh will only hurt the effort. However, I think there will be a day when bitterness and anger are gone and I will only be able to rejoice in what the Lord has done in my life.

I believe thu must truly be delivered from something in order to share a testimony. There are things in everyones life that they would rather not share although it may be a blessing to someone else. What does this mean. There are personal testimonies that I dont mind sharing to encourage others and then there are situations that I thank God for and choose not to share regardless of the parallelism to someone elses life.
