Daily Raeding: 2 Timothy Chapter 2 thru Titus Chapter 1

Key Verses: 2 Timothy 2:11-13

Paul encourages us with three conditional statements and one unconditional statement.  If we died with Christ, we will also live with Him.  Christ died to the things of this world.  He died to all fleshly desires.  He lived with a Kingdom worldview.  His actions, thoughts, and words were driven by His Kingdom mindset.  If we die to our fleshly desires and set our minds on the Kingdom of God, we will live with Christ in the heavens.  Jesus endured His mission until it was complete.  It is easy to quit.  It is very tempting at times to walk away.  Jesus could have walked away but He endured.  If we endure, we will also reign with Him.  Jesus believes in fair exchange when it comes to knowing someone.  If we do not know Him or disown Him, He will not know us.  Do you think that's fair enough?  Our choice to love Him has bearing on our relationship with Him.  Our decisions or anything we do have no bearing on His nature.  Jesus is!  When it comes to faithfulness, that's what He is.  Whether we are faithful or not -- He is!  There is no shifting with Jesus -- He is!  He can not seperate Himself from His divine nature.  We can be one way today and another tomorrow but not My Lord.  He can not disown Himself.  Thank you Jesus for being who you are.  Take some time today to die with, live with, endure with, reign with and love Jesus today.  Just for who He is.

Paul’s saying is should be reminded to all those who are trying to figure out how to get to heaven. The answer is not just living or acting a certain way, but it is through Christ. He is the same and will not change, so it is up to us to either follow Him or not. His eternal love is available for us, so if we follow, endure, and die with it in our hearts, we will be with Him eternally. If we choose not to receive His eternal love and have no relationship Him, then we can’t expect to showered in it when we die. I pray that we receive the love that was here before the foundation of the earth so we can live in it for eternity. In Jesus name, Amen.

The words "A trustworthy saying" stands out for me and draws my attention to the message following these words. It reminds me that God's word is loving yet firm and most of all, it is faithful and trustworthy.

Though God loves me, in spite of my sins, I am an active participant when it comes to the type of relationship I will have with God and how He will respond to me. I pray to God that I can endure until the end. I ask that God breathe on me and renew my spirit. Thank you Father. In Jesus' name, Amen.
