I worked in some of the high rise buildings downtown and was amazed at just how high they were.  If one could reach into heaven, that's one elevator ride I don't want to take.  I'll take the traditional way -- in spirit.  The tower of Babel could have been a good thing if the goal was to honor God.  They simply wanted to make a name for themselves.  They wanted to be famous world-wide.  They used all of their gifts and abilities to glorify themselves.  We run the same risk of building towers.  When we set out to be the best in our class or field, to make a name for ourselves, we are building a tower.  It is a totally different thing to something to the best of your ability to glorify God.  That is when your gift will make room and bring you before great men.  Run a diagnostic test today to see if you are building towers in any area of your life.  Make sure that all that you do is for the glory of God.
