Daily Reading: Jeremiah Chapter 19 thru Chapter 22

Key Verse: Jeremiah 22:21

Prosperity has become the earplugs of America.  We now have multiple generations whose practice it is to ignore God.  God has been speaking to the land since He spoke light into existence.  The fact that people are saying, "I will not listen" shows that they are aware of God and that He is speaking to them.  America has no excuse!  The very thing that is worshiped by so many Americans state, "In God we trust."

Americans condition children to live a life apart from the voice of God.  How gracious is God to still allow people to prosper even when they are ignoring Him?  I praise God for continuing to speak even though some are not listening.  Those that are willing to listen and obey will share in God's divine nature and glory.  Prosperity is only for a while but the Kingdom is forever.

Oh, that we would hear the King speak.

God sends Jeremiah to relay a message to the king of Judah and the people of Jerusalem, that if they do not discontinue their acts of worshiping other gods, shedding innocent blood, and false prophesy; He will smash them to pieces just as He told Jeremiah to do with the pottery, and destroy the entire land.

When God speaks to us, He wants us to listen and do exactly what His word says that we should do. Though our flesh is extremely stubborn at times. If we desire to be in right relationship with The Almighty, then we have to live our lives with Him in mind. That means living by His word each and everyday.

Father, I ask that You would soften my heart and draw nearer to You my ears Dear God, that I may always listen when You speak and carry out Your will. May I not be stubborn God, that I would get to thinking that I should not confess my sins unto You Heavenly Father, but I would focus and delight in You Dear God. Father I thank You for Your word and all that You placed on my heart today Lord. I praise You, magnify You, and I will worship only Your name. It is in Your precious name I pray Lord-it is so, and it is done)-Amen

Jeremiahs Complaint: was very helpful. It spoke what my mind was thinking earlier this morning. I ask God before reading to help me with this situation I was facing and through His Word He did. I was relieved of the stress that I was going through. As a testimony the people around me heard that prayer and seen God work His blessings in my situation. Thanks again God for the molding process your doing in my life.

God's unmerited favor, His grace, is truly amazing! It really does boggle the mind how He can continue to bless those who don't even believe that He exist and deliberately ignore His word and the messengers who speak it. The harsh reality is that one day they will see God's glory revealed and wish that they had took heed and believed. I sincerely hope and pray that those who take even the very existence of God for granted will come to realize that He is real and He is the truth before it's to late.

As for me, I'm so very thankful for the grace that we have through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and will continue to pray and ask God to help us to do according to all that is written in His word so that we will not stray.
