Daily Reading: Hosea Chapter 9 thru Chapter 12 Key Verses: Hosea 11:1-4 In theses verses God expresses His unfailing love for His chosen people. It is because of His great love for them that He did not allow them to go unpunished for their sins. God shows His kind and gentle nature as a Father guiding His children. Not only did God teach them how to walk but he led them and kept them from falling with cords of love. God lifted the yoke of oppression from them and nourished their souls. This is a picture of the intense love God has for His people. All that God did for Israel, Jesus accomplished for us. Jesus chose us to be His. He loved us by giving His life on our behalf. He provided an avenue for us to be born again and teaches us to walk. He is the light of love that leads us on our paths. He is the sin remover, burden bearer and the yoke destroyer for all who are in Him. He is the bread of life and the living water that nourishes our souls. What kind of love is this? Thank God for Jesus! 2007-08-23 12:18:32 GMT

I am grateful that God did not decide to only discipline His children, but He also nutures us. My earthly father disciplined without nurturing. It makes a difference in a child's life when the parents are disciplining and nurturing. I think it gives the child a sense of self-worth. In the case of the Christian and their heavenly Father, it not only gives us a sense of self-worth or value in Christ, but it also gives us increased faith to know all the Father is doing for us because He loves us. He loves us! Even if no one else on earth loves us, the Father loves us so much He is willing to bend down and personally feed us. If you were ignored, or put down as a child, no matter - the Father will left the yoke of that anger and bitterness from your jaw. He will take us in His arms and heal us. Even if we were not shown affection or given hugs as a child, God has massive arms that He is willing to wrap around us and comfort us. This is a kind of love that is beyond human comprehension. This is the true meaning of unconditional love because He loves us even in our mess. I am grateful for My God.

The Lord loves His children so dearly that He takes care of each and everyone of us with TLC (tender, love & care). No matter what we may do that is against His will- He still loves us. I thank God for His unchanging love for me. So many times, I myself have taken for granted the love and compassion my Father has for me, but I am able to repent now for my past and present sins; and know that I am forgiven. For the debt is already paid for. Thank You Lord- Amen!!!

Yes, his unfailing love, even when sin was over taking Israel. His unfailing love, and his compassion for Israel remained. This type of love makes me want to give God my best in everything I do. Why wouldn't I want to love someone that love me that much. Still disciplining me but with love. Thank you God for being so faithful. In JESUS NAME AMEN
