Daily Reading: Genesis Chapter 41 thru Chapter 44 Key Verse: Genesis 41:14 Imagine being in the dungeon one minute and standing in the palace the next? Can you imagine coming from the dungeon and about to be quizzed by the king? This is the ultimate pop quiz. Joseph didn't know the subject he would be quizzed on so how could he have been prepared? It was not Joseph's knowledge of dreams that allowed him to interpret Pharaoh's dream. Joseph did not spend hours studying dream interpretation 101 but it was his knowledge of God that prepared him for this test. There will be a time for all of us to be tested. Some may have a dungeon to palace experience. Take the opportunity now to be prepared for anything by getting to know the Father. He is literally and figuratively transparent. He will reveal Himself to all who diligently seek him. Get prepared today. Taste and see that the Lord is good! 2007-12-21 13:39:08 GMT

I know for a fact that God is good and He is with me. The conflict I have is with me. Trying to look beyond myself is so hard for me. I didn't realize how selfish I am and because of that I missed what God is trying to say to me concerning others. Joseph allowed himself to be used by God no matter what his situation was. See when things get bad we begin to think of ourselves and not others. God says if we take care of his sheep he will take care of us. Joseph and his whole family was bless because he allowed God to use him and he obeyed God.

I must say: "each time I witness the Word of God, I am in awe." As the story goes - Pharaoh had Joseph removed from the dungeon in order for him to interpret his dream. Though, the essence of the Scripture is how; previously Joseph's brothers sold him into Egypt (Genesis ch. 37). This is a perfect example of the mighty works of God. Many years had gone by and their father Jacob accepted the loss of his son (Joseph). Famine came upon the land, and who would have figured that the very ones that dis-owned Joseph (his brothers) would be the one's to go to him for food, that they may live and not die. God is amazing! In more ways than one, a negative became a great positive. Sadly, Joseph had to suffer in the beginning, but aren't all Gods chosen one's to do so for Him? In the end the rewards, like Joseph's story are much greater.
