I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. John 15:1
|
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:2, 4-5

God designed His church to be a place where believers could
learn to function as members of His kingdom. God desires that
His church be salt and light to a fallen world. He expressly
desires that "the manifold wisdom might now be made known
through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the
heavenly places" (Eph. 3:10). To fulfill the purpose God has set
forth for the church requires diligence and dedication on the part
of the believer. The Vineyard is the refining place for those
believers who want to go deeper in their Christian walk, those
who take God's mandate for their life seriously. The Vineyard is
designed to move the individual from a place of complacency to
becoming a force in the body of Christ.
Every member a minister. This statement is one of the core
values of The Way Bible Fellowship Church. To help facilitate this
value, The Vineyard was created. The Vineyard is a place where
individuals can discover the tenets of Christianity as well as their
purpose and their spiritual gifts. The Vineyard is not only a
refining place, but it is also a launch pad. The individuals who
participate in The Vineyard experience are cultivated to become
active employees for the Kingdom, whether their employment
requires them to work in the church, the community, or the
marketplace. Leading with Integrity and Abundant Living are two
more core values of The Way Bible Fellowship, as such The
Vineyard is a holistic program. In addition to dealing with tenets
and giftings, the individual will also have the opportunity to grow
spiritually with trainings focused on releasing the individual from
bondages of sin and unforgiveness. In order for an individual to
become effective for the Kingdom, he or she has to be able to
filter his or her ministry through Christ alone and not through
past hurts, current issues, sin, or unforgiveness. The individual
will be given tools to help him or her mature in his or her
relationship with God the Father, imitate Christ the Son and
willingly yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
